Close Coupled Toilets offer a more traditional toilet design, usually found in residential settings and commercially where space is at a premium.
The cistern sits neatly on the toilet pan, which is attached to the floor. SanCeram Close Coupled Toilets are easy to install and purchase as everything you need is included within the one pack, even the seat.
Easy Access
Maintenance access is quick and easy for Close Coupled Toilets as all elements are readily accessible. However the only consideration is that the whole system can be open to tampering or vandalism, compared to a Wall Hung Toilet or a Back to Wall Toilet where the cistern is out of open reach, so they are not recommended for high use public areas.
Water Saving
Close Coupled Toilets are usually provided with either a Push Button Flush or a more traditional Lever Flush. If your Close Coupled Toilet has a Push Button Flush then ideally a dual flush would be preferred, so that you have the option of a full and reduced flush for water saving.
Doc M compliant
With many toilet designs available you need to ensure that you are meeting all legal and regulatory requirements of your project. A toilet such as the SanCeram Chartham Close Coupled 750 Projection Toilet Pan with Cistern (top left), offers extended projection to 750mm for Doc M wheelchair accessible compliance and also has a Rimless pan for optimum hygiene and ease of cleaning.
