Our Client: The magnificent Dudbrook Hall was built in the 1600’s and first opened as a care home in 1993 by St Michaels Homes. They have recently built a new 62 bedroom care home to the rear of the existing Dudbrook Hall, with the generous landscaped gardens built in the current grounds. The new care home provides residents with state of the art facilities including an in house café, hair salon and therapy room to name but a few. Great care has been taken throughout to ensure residents feel at home here, with special touches like a virtual sky light to bring the outdoors indoors and brighten the atmosphere.
Their Brief: Sanitaryware was required for the whole building including all 62 resident ensuite bathrooms, assisted bathrooms and disabled WC’s. These areas needed to be fit for purpose for the elderly residents with grab rails required throughout and easy to use taps. Staff and visitor bedrooms, shower areas and WC’s also needed to be catered for and required hygienic, easy to clean sanitaryware alongside products that would reduce ongoing water consumption.
Our Solution: Our SanCeram and Ideal Standard ranges were selected for this project. All taps supplied were DDA compliant ensuring easy operation for residents, whilst the rimless WC’s offer increased hygiene and help reduce water usage.
